Dr. Moussa is a board-certified emergency physician with nearly two decades of experience delivering high-acuity care in fast-paced emergency departments. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2004 from the University of Toledo College of Medicine & Life Sciences (formerly the Medical College of Ohio) and completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, in 2007.Since 2007, Dr. Moussa has practiced as a board-certified emergency physician, honing expertise in rapid diagnosis, critical interventions, and managing a wide range of urgent medical conditions.
In 2016, he returned to his alma mater as faculty at the University of Toledo College of Medicine & Life Sciences, where he now serves as Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director, and Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. He is deeply committed to medical education, mentoring residents and students through their training while conducting clinical research, grant work, and scholarly activities.Dr. Moussa also contributes broadly to the medical community, serving on the University of Toledo Physicians Clinical Faculty Board of Directors, the UT Alumni Association Board of Trustees, the UTCOMLS Alumni Affiliate Board, and as an examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Now, Dr. Moussa is bringing his extensive emergency medicine skills and experience directly to the community through this new urgent care practice. By applying his expertise from the emergency department to urgent care, he aims to provide accessible, high-quality, efficient care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries—helping patients receive the right level of treatment quickly and close to home.
